Supra Football Academy approached me to design a complete new identity for their football kits, covering all teams from under-7s to under-21s, as well as coach and weatherproof apparel. This was my first major freelance project outside of Fiverr, working directly with a returning client who wanted to take things to the next level.
As the sole designer on the project, I created every element of the kit collection and liaised with the Chinese production factory to bring the designs to life. The challenge? Creating kits that matched the high standards of elite youth players without the budget of major brands like Nike or Adidas.
The design process was dynamic: we originally explored triangle motifs for the home kit, but soon evolved to a blockier pattern inspired by Minecraft—something bold and relevant for the younger age group, while still feeling elite. Tools like Photoshop and Illustrator were essential in working across different 2D/3D templates and preparing files for production.
Working across three time zones and managing communication between the client and the factory taught me not just design execution, but also patience and flexibility. The kits were used in real play for several years and received fantastic feedback. In fact, even after the club changed management, they returned to me for more design work.
